After consuming much... thinking juice... last night I realized that now that I have the caliper split, I could put the PINS in the table vice and pull on them directly, rather than the pushing I’d been trying to do.

I had to REALLY crank the vice down, but it worked! I am victory!

Now to find a source for the pins. It’s OK... they’re only $60....

$60, eff that. I’d straighten those out, sand em down and reuse them.

How complicated are those pins? Not too much for fabricobbling something together to avoid that $60 price tag , I hope?

Ev ery single time swearing and brute force hasn’t been effective in the garage, stepping away from the problem, consuming alcohol, and rethinking it has worked.
